The Department of Justice (DOJ) has criminally indicted a young surgeon for blowing the whistle on Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH). TCH allegedly lied about the continuation of its child gender-affirming treatment program in 2023; a year after it had announced it would cease its barbaric treatment of children with gender dysphoria. The surgeon whose name is Eitham Haim, 33 years old, is now paying the price due to our weaponized justice system and a culture that is seemingly unable to distinguish between right and wrong.
On June 4, three heavily armed US Marshals appeared at Dr. Eitham Haim’s door at 7 a.m. The agents informed Haim he had been indicted by the DOJ with four federal felony counts of violating HIPAA. Why? Haim blew the whistle on Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) to protect children who were being treated in its child-gender clinic.
The June raid comes a little over a year after Haim’s conscience prompted him to contact investigative reporter Christopher Rufo to tell him the truth about the ongoing treatment of minors at the transgender clinic at TCH. According to Haim, at the time he the blew the whistle in 2023, doctors at the hospital were allegedly still secretly undergoing “gender-affirming therapy” even though the hospital had made public statements that it had “ceased performing transgender medical procedures on children,” per a May 16 exposé written by investigative reporter Christopher Rufo. In reality, Haim alleged TCH had continued its barbaric program well after it had announced it would stop the procedures in 2022.
Haim explains in his X feed that “Within 24 hours of the release of Rufo’s story, Texas passed a bi-partisan law banning dangerous hormone-based interventions for children with gender dysphoria,” according to Haim. Oddly enough, even though Haim was anonymous in the story, “one month later two federal agents with HHS showed up to [his] apartment on the day of [his] graduation from surgical training” to inform him he was under criminal investigation.
Haim’s Jan. 24, 2024 letter (shown in the Tweet below) written to multiple Congressmen reveals the DOJ issued a target letter with criminal charges to Haim about a month after Rufo wrote his story exposing the hospital’s ongoing child gender program. According to Haim, the prosecutor has made him out to be a criminal, even though he has respected all HIPAA regulations.
We realized our case is meaningless unless we go on the offensive to hold those accountable who have abused their authority. So that is exactly what we've done. Read the letter below. pic.twitter.com/YXoLUVmypF

Prosecutor Says Haim Violated HIPAA
Haim reports his prosecutor says Haim exposed patient identification information. However, Haim was careful to redact all patient-specific information. According to the letter, Haim’s prosecutor alleged “from the beginning that the medical records that Dr. Haim allegedly sent to Rufo and that were published included the children’s names….Yet, it is obvious from a quick glance that all patient information is redacted.”
Haim alleges in his letter that the prosecutor has failed to review or verify the facts and was “exceptionally” quick to target him for criminal behavior. Haim also states the DOJ prosecutor asked him to “admit wrongdoing to avoid felony prosecution.”
Further, Haim claims the prosecutor “stated that the families of the ‘victims,’ whom she had talked to and sympathized with, would sue Dr. Haim if there were no criminal charges. She also allegedly told Haim “the doctors performing transgender medical interventions on minors and the Hospital concealing those procedures as victims.” She (the prosecutor) allegedly went further, per Haim’s Congressional letter, to tell Haim he “had no right to blow the whistle,” even though HIPAA regulations permit the disclosure of even protected information” if it includes egregious medical misconduct.
Doctors At Gender Clinic Performing Sex-Change Procedures On Children As Young As 11
According to Haim’s testimony and Rufo’s reporting, TCH doctors were, “in fact, continuing to perform sex-change procedures on children as young as 11.” Doctors were also administering “puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and other medical interventions to children who self-identified as ‘trans’.”
Rufo reported that Richard Roberts was one of the doctors who continued to treat patients “ages 12-17 years old for “‘gender identity’ and ‘gender dysphoria,’ with indications for ‘medication,’ ‘testosterone levels,’ ‘medicine refill,’ and ‘specialty services.’” Another doctor, a surgeon named Kristy Rialon continued her transgender surgical procedures on minors. Rufo reported:
“Another doctor at Texas Children’s, a Harvard-trained surgeon and assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine named Kristy Rialon, has also been involved in conducting transgender surgical procedures on minors. The records indicate that Rialon inserted and removed “non-biodegradable drug delivery implant[s]” for “gender dysphoria in pediatric patient[s]” throughout 2022 and 2023—including one procedure on an 11-year-old “female-to-male transgender person,” listed in records for three days after the hospital had announced that it had stopped performing “gender-affirming care.”
“The patients getting implants (or removals) from Rialon were 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 years old. Other medical records confirm that Rialon has administered the drug Supprelin LA, an implantable gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) medication that is one of the most commonly used drugs for blocking puberty in transgender-identified children.”
Costly Legal Battle for Haim
When Haim realized the cost of his upcoming legal battle he wrote the following in his in his June 8 GiveSendGo update:
“We were crushed. We are just average people, living in small-town Texas, and my wife Andrea is 22 weeks pregnant with our first daughter (her name is Talia!). But since Christopher Rufo released this story June 6th, the outpouring of support has been unbelievable.”
“The depth of our gratitude cannot be expressed by words. Therefore, I must express it in action. I will never give up. I will never dishonor the sacrifices for all of those who have given a part of themselves for this fight. We will face down those who target whistleblowers and we will win.” ~Ethan
